Todd has a couple of sheep hunts available in his open area this fall if anyone is interested.

Here are a couple of rams from the open area last year.

Too early in the year to be posting pics like these, Oak.

Man, my hat is off to those that go on these hunts. These pictures (and all the other ones that Ovis & Co. post) show some damn steep country. I haven't even attempted to leave home on a trip like that, but I think I need to go change my shorts anyhow.

Woohoo! Both of those rams are dandies. I'd be happy with either one.

Five months and change and I'll be chasing a white ram. Is it too early to put in a request for favorable weather?

HAHA.... What does that hunt cost ? 10k+ ? Thats alot of bones Amigo. Grant it I'm hitting Africa this year but I'll be under that price and have alot more animals. Although..... I would really really like a Dall. *sigh* Maybe... just maybe next year !! (Unless Todd calls me up having a reduced price cancleation hunt or something :D)

I'll illegally guide you for $5K. I can set you up on a payment plan as well. Pay half now and the other half tomorrow.

I would accept that, but.... I'll pay you nothing now, and 2.5k after we get the critter down and out of the state and 7 years has past for me going to JAIL !!!! :D

I think the advertised price was $11k earlier in the year.

YAh, that's 10k+ right ? ;)

yo

Oak,

I heard Todd runs a good camp from another friend. I was lucky to get a great price when I booked 21/2 years ago at 7500 bones with Max. Those prices are history now, but it sure isn't going to get any cheaper in the years to come. Looking back, the price of the hunt was more then a bargain. Knowing what I know now, I would have paid more and still been happy.

T Bone,

What part of the sheep season are you hunting with Jake ? If you are like I was, you are having some sleepless nights counting sheep!:D

Yeah, smart guy, it is.

Moosie, your'e exactly right! I think the advertised price was $11k earlier in the year.

How's that? ;)

11 years of you being a smartalec and getting me.... and I finally made a funny. Mark this day on the callender boyz ;)

I do want to go hunting Sheep. My legs aren't getting any younger. Hopefully I still have pleanty more.... but ja' never know. Soon... very very soon !!

Wow....that's a pretty dang good price! Really even at 10-11 grand is reasonable....unfortunately. How did your hunt turn out??

Slayer:

The hunt was great. I showed up 3 days before the season. It took the first day to get dropped off on the river. We spent the night, and hiked into a high basin where we set up our spike camp. We saw sheep right out of the campsite around 1 mile up the draw. The 3 rd day, we spotted a band of 12 rams feeding together. We put them to bed, and came back the next morning at 5 am. At 11am my ram was down. A beautiful 9 1/2 year old, ram 38 x 13.5. I just got him back from the taxidermist. Tried posting pics, but no can do.
If you want to see some pics, pm me with your e mail address.
