Dairy Queen Closing, Big Fin changes hunting plans....

Lol does Bin Fin do much hunting in the Permian?

We've stopped at one or two of those. There won't be much to eat in some of those TX panhandle towns now.

Antelope is about the only reason Fin would find himself in Hobbs, NM so not much of a loss there. He could stop at DQ in Carlsbad or Roswell on the way, although the last time I went to DQ in Roswell they were out of dilly bars.

I know people eat there, I have in the past but as I've gotten older just don't have an appetite for the fast food artery clogging stuff anymore. To each there own.

no $5 deals at the Jackson hole wy d q.I still ate there anyway, though they quit making the "tropical blizzards" that I like too.

I think I'm in need for another ice cream machine lol. Making Blizzards at home or at the cottage mmmmmm

Do people really eat at DQ?

hell yes they do in Texas. All those little towns in the panhandle are towns I drove through on a regular basis when I lived in Lubbock. Each of those DQ's was always busy during lunch and dinner for the local farmers and ranchers. Will be interesting to see what happens to those little towns.

As for eating DQ outside Texas, no way. Different menu and way shitty food.

I pretty much ate nothing but DQ for 4 months while stationed at Fort Knox in 2007. It used to be the only place to eat a hot meal near the training areas in Muldraugh KY and all the base dinning was too far to drive to.

When I was TDY to Fort Hood there were so many DQ's around they called the DQ sign a Texas Stop Sign.

Nemont

I have gotten an ice cream dealie @ DQ in Springerville, AZ...but that is because A&W and Fosters Freeze are gone now...never eaten a meal.
Only fast food burger I will eat in NM is Blakes.........unless a mom&pop place is open.
