Cornfed Elk...

I hunt 8 miles from the Nebraska border in Wyoming every year and it amazes me how many elk are out on the prairie. Being from Idaho, they just look oddly out of place.

Been quite a few years since we saw our 1st sign in the middle of the state where we turkey hunt.

We don’t have a population in SE Nebraska, but every year people spot a few raghorns that got pushed out and followed the river. Last year I ate tag soup in Idaho and a bull got hit on the interstate 50 miles from my house. Guess I shoulda just stayed closer to home.

We were hunting ducks in western NE and had a bull come into the waterhole for a quick drink. Pretty cool to see.

Literally just about shit myself when he turned.... oofta. Now if I can find one like that this week that'd be fantastic

That elk was not a raghorn. I would have shot him in NM 34.

I’m guessing that video was taken up between Valentine and Chadron. There is some good herds there. Down where I am we don’t have resident elk, just passers through.
