Matthew " Cool Hand " Newberg strikes again in Arizona Monster Elk. Congrats to Matthew on another successful elk hunt. I really enjoy watching Randy ( Father ) and Matthew ( Son ) adventures. Their Bond is Far Greater than the out come of the hunt. Watching the Love and Respect between them. My Hats Off to the Newberg Family, Randy and Kim did a Good Job.

Great AZ bull.
24” and 22”. Main beams are over 50” and the width is 51”.
When folks see the episode, they’re gonna laugh. I’ll never apply for that tag. Until that one fell into our lap, five days of hunting produced one spike.
That afternoon Matthew, Michael and I had a production meeting discussing what the hell we were going to be able to make out of five days of boring nothing. We had written this off as a huge investment of dollars, time, and effort that would be a big dud.
We decided to go retry a spot for the last evening and the hunting gods felt sorry for us. By far the biggest stroke of luck we’ve ever had in seventeen years of filming.
I’ll take good luck any day and this was a stroke of luck beyond anything we deserved.
