Cooking books you should own

One that we use here in Louisiana is "After the hunt" by John Folse. If your looking for a little cajun flare! Some of the game you may not have but can be easily substituted.
 
I always trust Hank's recipes! I've been smoking salmon for a long time and have settled on his brine and recipe for my go to. It takes a lot for me to quit looking for a better way to smoke a fish....
 
Picked up "Duck, Duck, Goose" during the season last fall and I can't say enough good things about it. The roast duck with hominy recipe has become a favorite for mallards and pintail.
 
I'm still waiting for Buck Buck Moose to release on Amazon.

Another good one is Chef in the Wild by Randy King. He was on Hank Shaw's podcast and has a recipe in the book for rock chuck. Pretty good book.
