My favorite picture from this year's hunting season. Even though we didn't have any luck chasing down any critters, spending four days in the backcountry chasing elk in bluebird skies, thunderstorms, and snow was one of the best hunts I've ever been on.

Took the biggest bull I'll probably ever shoot. I've only seen one while hunting that approached this and dont really count on it happening again!!!

Spent a lot of days out this year. Hope to spend MORE next year. Spent quite a few days out with my oldest...she'll be carrying tags this spring on Turkey... and maybe bear. Of course, she didn't shoot the grouse! That would not be legal! (that little guy was so fascinated with that grouse, it was awesome)...

Was getting worried about having no meat to play with, so I put this guy and his girlfriend in the freezer...

Promising at 1st light.... didn't pay out though. Prongys with the bow is kicking my ass...

During bow season we had some shit weather.... one day left me with no choice but to hunker down by a nice warm fire...
