Are there any active members that live in this area that are willing to chat on the phone sometime? Trying to get as much insight as possible; schools, winter weather, summer weather, amenities, bugs, allergies, local politics, etc. This is a really tough decision.

Don't live in the area but grew up in Tonasket, my quick take is: winters are relatively cold and snowy for WA, depending on how high off the valley floor, probably usually snowy Nov through March or April, summer weather slightly cooler than wenatchee or Spokane, but not much, plenty of days in the 90s or 100+, fairly frequent forest fires in the region. They got a Walmart! Skeeter and wasps probably most common bugs. Politics leans way red but there's a scattering of hippies and hillbillies that can be hard to understand politically.
