I think there is some potential upside to the state owning these lands, from a recreational standpoint. Long row to hoe, for sure but the upside is there.
I dont see that same upside if the likes of wilks brothers or their ilk buy it up..

OXY is down 25% this week. Just last may it bought Anadarko for like $57B. As I type this, OXY's market cap is under $29B.

Stopped paying attention at $1. Warmest winter ever. It is a super bad sign when your main product is discarded as worthless by liquid producers. I have always thought there will be a time in America's future where is says "Wow, flaring all that natural gas X years ago was really stupid."

Gulfport is having similar woes... seems like they are trying to drill themselves out of it... good luck with that
