There are a few more members you forgot to ask.Oak,
Do you have any advice for unit 30 deer? My uncle and I will be hunting the third season. Thank you in advance for any tips and help you can offer. We are excited and will be scouting off BLM Route 149 and Route 16 a few days before our hunt opens. Would you recommend picking up an OTC elk tag? Have a great day.
OMG yes I do! PM me!!!Perma,

Same thing happened to me on an archery hunt near Williams. Where in Arizona did you see cows being chased by coyotes?I have some advice for anyone wanting to hunt deer in that unit. When I was in high school I was still-hunting mule deer in a late archery hunt with my friend Kyle, and we started hearing hoof beats. I looked over at him and whispered “elk” and he nodded back at me. The noise was getting louder and I said “they’re coming this way” and he said “yeah.” It was kind of thick juniper country and we could only see about forty yards but suddenly 4 cows popped out of nowhere heading right at us. I jumped behind a tree and Kyle just stood there like a deer in headlights. The elk ran right between us. A few seconds later 5 coyotes came through, chasing them. Kyle was like “did you see that?!” I was proud of myself for thinking sarcastically and replied “see what?” Of course that was about twenty years ago. In Arizona. Good luck on your hunt.
