I love that area of Colorado. We drove in from Utah in 2000 . It was so refreshing to get up into the mountains.

Confident Lady

We met this gal at one of the overlooks near Pagosa Springs (she took the 'gang' photo). She was riding a dresser solo and her mom & dog were following in the SUV. She was headed towards Durango then up the million dollar highway towards Ouray. Hwy 550 thru Silverton to Ouray is all switchbacks & passes, usually with rain or sleet...narrow with sheer drops and a paucity of guardrails. My hands were welded to the grips when we reached downtown Ouray.
