Colorado 1st Hunt Success

Nice Job, Congrats from a fellow I40, I24,...I70 traveler from ETN. K-town here

I’m not far from you, between Knoxville and Chattanooga. I’m in Knoxville rather often. It was a beautiful drive, but Kansas is pretty brutal .

I promise that wasn’t meant as an insult. It’s just that the landscape is pretty homogeneous. I’m fine with some prairie, but when there is nothing at all to break it up for that many hundred miles it’s pretty tough

No worries EastTNHunter!

There is a certain spareness to western Kansas along I-70 for sure. Other parts of Kansas are mystically beautiful, and often still rather "open".

I find myself feeling claustrophobic when surrounded on all side by unending forests. I am a child of Colorado, Wyoming and Kansas.

......oh give me a home, where the buffalo roam, and the deer and the antelope play.........
