Absolutely...UMD played to their potential against a very good team in U Mass. We've had season tickets to UMD hockey for close to thirty years and this is the deepest team I've had a chance to watch...and also the most entertaining with players like Perunovich. I'm curious now how many underclassmen will turn pro as that is always a game changer for college programs. All that said, SCSU had a great season and some of their best games were against UMD. Don't hang your head, Eric.MN, you have an amazing coach in Brett Larson and a solid program.
Saw SCSU and Bulldogs play last year in western regional and #1 SCSU played great all year but not in the regional. UMD played great and looked better in last couple games this year than games I saw last year. Congrats! Best defensive team last 2-3 years IMO.
