Just curious as to everyone's best method of cleaning their elk ivories. The cow from this year had a good pair, and I'm planning on getting some earrings made for the wife with them.

Put them in your change pocket and carry them around for awhile. They clean right up.. Or at least mine do. That way you can show them off everytime you get change.:D

And as a lesser choice, drop them in a vibratory case cleaner for a few min.. The dry ground-up walnut hulls will polish them very nicely. Don't leave them in for any long time period, with out checking on them.

I have done both mentioned above. The pocket and change works great, it is amazing, just make sure you don't loose them. I put my last set in the tumbler with fresh media and no brass of course for just a few minutes and then took a cloth to themt to polish them up. Like RustyBore said though, watch them and do not leave in too long...

Put them in your can of copenhagen for about 2 weeks and they will shine right up - olus bring out a lot of color.
