China Milu Deer

Yeah to be honest the police officer I know emigrated to the USA and when he said he grew up shooting shit I was amazed. He said rural china is strapped to the 9’s

And iv also hunted with plenty of hmung hunters to know that they also love guns and shooting shit.

Map drawn up in the early 70’s.

I think most people don’t know how the real world works, because they haven’t been there. I have. Many times over ten years. But did see an interesting news article last week trying to educate viewers on terminology & labels. The term China and Chinese people should be positive, and kept apart from the term CCP, the political regime. They are totally different things. The Chinese people are wonderful, and love Americans. I am treated like a celebrity when there.

Communism is just a tool used by politicians to gain support of the masses in order for them to gain power. Once they have that power, they discard the philosophy. Because in fact they know it doesn’t work. It’s just used as bribery to redistribute wealth & gain support. This is classic Ho Chi Minh in Viet Nam. He only wanted the French colonialism out of his country. Mao was stupid enough to actually believe it. He took over the country in the late 40’s, redistributed the land, then when he died in 1976, Deng Xiaoping took control and ended real communism in favor of capitalism. Today’s CCP has communism in the name, but not in philosophy. The CCP is in fact just a totalitarian government. In truth, today the US is far more socialist/communist than China. It’s not even close. China has virtually no redistribution of wealth today, and virtually no social welfare programs. The US is the poster child for both.

I think this is pretty obvious to anyone who has studied history and visited frequently.

Based on what I’ve gathered, China doesn’t even have a F&G Dept yet. I have a cousin in Chengdu who belongs to their city archery club. He says the only hunting the club members do is for wild hogs in the mountains. It is not legal, but some members go anyway. I’ll be finding out more now that I’ll be spending so much more time there. BTW - It’s like living in Mayberry there. The criminals are not released back on the streets like in Chicago. They go to the organ donor factory. I feel safe anywhere we go.

Maybe think twice about poaching those hogs? I think I would want to avoid the organ donor factory.

Seriously though, have you gotten a good grip of the language? If not, I’m sure you will spending 4 months per year there.

Since 2015 visited each year three weeks, except during Covid when not allowed.
I was just gonna say, weren’t you on the forum a while back bemoaning some kind of rule in a Utah National Park as government overreach?

China’s government isn’t exactly the shining beacon of free speech, will, or any freedom at all.

I don’t hunt them. I’m just telling you what my cousin described.

I just know some phrases. But wife is an English teacher, so she is my translator.

No that was not me. I did not comment about any freedoms, and certainly don’t defend their actions. Just pointing out a fact about their totalitarianist political system.

Again, I certainly don’t defend their government. Just pointing out a fact about its totalitarianist political system. It’s only communist in name (CCP), not in policy.

I had thought/heard they had some sort of safety net. Looks like they do to me?
