Charli’s VGP (two day utility) test was this weekend. Unfortunately, my wife has now dubbed her “flunky dog”.
We made a consolation blue grouse hunt on the way home and christened the 20 gauge.

In all your photos, she always looks like she’s got those sensitive, loving eyes. Too bad about the test, but I hope the consolation hunt lifted everyone’s spirits.

She has eyes that pierce your soul.
I was pretty mopey on the drive yesterday. Kind of in shock. She failed out on an obedience task, which is very abnormal for her.
The hike this morning was therapeutic.
Maybe a boneheaded question but can she not retest?

Yes. She can retest one time. It absolutely will not happen this fall. Too much hunting and fishing to do. If I do retest her it will be next year.
