I am looking for your opinion on the best Cellular trail camera with live video option. Before some of you get your panties in a bunch I will be using this camera to monitor a part of pasture where the cows like to go down into and have calves that is not easily seen passing by on the ATV and it is a bit of a hell hole. I am looking for something with good nightvision and picture quality. If it makes a difference, I have U.S. Cellular for a wireless carrier.

The Tactacam Reveal cameras have video and seem decent. They can eat up batteries so I would probably plan on adding a solar panel. You pick between verizon or at&t depending on which one has the best coverage where you plan on using it.

Not sure how much coverage you are thinking you are going to get with it. I would say that 30 or 40 yards is going to be about what you are going to get. There are some places that do testing on them that might help you sort that out. They might trigger on motion further away than that but the IR flash isn't going to reach much further than that and you are going to be hard pressed to identify whatever it is from that far away.

Can you just use a wifi camera like a Wyze?
The barn has WiFi cameras in it and every effort to get the cows to the barn is made but for some reason the old cows like to go to the nastiest place in the pasture and have their calves in the crappiest weather. It makes for a fun rodeo when it’s the middle of the night and you are trying to get a calf away from its mom in a driving sleet storm.

Probably should just fence the area off.

Thanks. I was looking at those Tactacams. Even with limited abilities it’s better than nothing. With the market right now just saving 1 would pay for a lot of those cameras.
