Bad day at Black Rock would have been more fun, at that Redding trip.
Low water, no salmon. 105 at 9pm. Greasy burgers the 1st night.

I was on the coast fishing the Gualala the next day. Alone.

Did a charter boat in the gulf for mine. Me and my best man vomited most of the morning due to partying to hard the night before dad laughed at us. Then we caught some snapper but not the kind you're looking for. This was the day before my wedding and on the day of I was as red as a snapper with my fresh new sunburn.

September ducks and geese in Canada along with some fishing could be easily found and all at a relatively cheap cost

I was building a house for my bride. Dawn to dusk. Cleaned up for the big day.
Dutifully went back to work shortly after, wore the wedding band for one day on the job. Decided I didn't want to pop that finger off, so only wear it on special occasions. 7 years later we had our honeymoon. Maybe it's time for a boys bash.

Ha! Mine is 9/1. My wife says the only reason I remember it is it's when I can head up and hunt grouse. Anniversary celebration after of course. What you really have to be careful of is when your kids are born. Plan accordingly. mtmuley

My oldest was born on 8/21 I would work our night shift to be around and help her and elk hunt every am. One morning she asked if I was ever gonna get a bull I made the mistake of telling her I had let 5-6 walk already I was looking for a better bull. She got pist in shot a rag the next morning

My Son was actually born on 9/17. If we didn't have both our families here my season would have been toast. An understanding wife is irreplaceable. mtmuley

My wife wanted to get married in October. She didn’t believe me that I wouldnt have any friends at the wedding. We got married in July instead. It was cold for July, 60s and overcast. We hit it pretty hard after the rehearsal dinner the night before. I had to take a break in the bushes during pictures. I still get a lot of grief for that.
