What is a good all around calibre for the above animals, seems all there is to chose from is Ruger rifles here in the Pilbara region, they any good ?

By the way living in the region of a country where it never gets below 95f and peaks at 125f year round is plain crap, its only rained once in the last 18 months, We all miss N.Z, the mountains, rivers and green forests, all ya get here is the red all over.

At least the people are nice, well except the native aboriginal people they sleep in the storm ditches and never wash, they pee, crap and copulate in the waste land or the streets and stumble to the liqour outlets just in time for them to open, an absolute culture shock for us, they dont have to work, just get benefits and they dont get arrested by the police because they dont pay fines or appear at court.

OH yea the fishing is great, just have to keep an eye out for the snakes, rockfish, crocodiles, sharks and poisonous jellyfish, did I mention that 10 of the 15 most deadly snakes in the world live in the region

Any way guys time for the fartsack.

Cheers.

kiwi good to see you back.dont know about camels but i wouldnt think they would be extremley tough to kill, i dont even know what a brumbie is but anything in the 308 class will do great on hogs nd kangaroos.get a 308, 270,30-06 or even stretch into the magnum sector and i bet you would be fine.i would like to get a kangaroo some day, please post some pics for us when you do.

Hey Jeff...
Glad to see you on the board again... Welcome back...
I am guessing any thing you could kill those deer with back in NZ would work there.. Just take good shots...

:)

Jeff, THat's a silly question. You know my answer.. 6.5X55... and ruger makes a bunch of them...

By the way.. from your description, it sounds like you've moved to Arizona. How far from Phoenix are you? Ha!Ha!.. I told you not to run away from home.. hump |oo :p

I don't know much about those animals, but I would have to say any high powered rifle would be fine it all depends on shot placement. As for Rugar rifles I haven't heard much about them.
Quick Draw

Jeff
You haven't been making any of your stated side calls that I know of in the last long time, whats with that.... I really liked it.. :D

Hey Kiwi.. Welcome to the land down under mate! Hell mate just get ya a boomerang like the aboriginals use and you'll be right mate. Just kidding. I'm in Aus till the 10th of May then heading to Maui to run a game boat for the season but will be back after a few months so maybe we could hook up sometime. I'm over on the other side in tropical Queensland in the Whitsunday Islands. I'll give ya a shout when I get back as the Cheese and kisses, err the "Mrs" has family on that side that we may go see. Hope ya get into some good stuff there. TOO ROO!

Man oh man if I didn't know better I'd swear you were right out side my office. Except it aint Aboriginies, it's Navahos. The only one of those critters in your list I ever shot was a Roo. A 30-06 did a pretty good job on him.
