I'm not sure if this belongs in the "fishing forum" or the "hunting with a spear forum". Great day on the water feeding steel to some California YellowtailIMG_3404.jpg.
 
Awesome! I used to spearfish when I lived out there, that's a great way to spend a few hours! Fresh yellowtail ain't bad either...
 
Looks like some good eating.


There are a lot of good eating fish in those waters but the yellowtail is one my favorite cooked or raw. I think the only thing better seafood wise is scallops and blue fin tuna, and the blue fin have been ridiculous this year.
 
California has everything. It must have been heaven before everyone moved there.
 
Hunting for fish sure seems like more fun that watching a bobber! ;) Well done!

Thanks. You make a real good point. Especially when you consider the hunting grounds are three dimensional. Once you dive down the fish can be anywhere including above or below you.
