California beginnings

Welcome. Congrats on your first season and doing so as an adult onset hunter. You will find out that CA deer tags and general seasons are mostly about the "opportunity" to hunt deer. Kinda quantity of hunt days v. quality of hunting. With that said there are plenty of opportunities to tag a deer, both C and D are pretty big with a wide variety of terrain. Have a great season with your family. Get out and shoot the Creedmoor as much as you can.

Up till last week I had not seen any 6.5 in almost a year. Got lucky at Cabela's and found some, and it was LF. I was down to less than 20rds. Now I can actually hunt this year!

I want to do some coyote hunting this year. do my part for fawn recruitment. Just got to do some research on how, where, when, and what to do after the take.

The 21' season is gonna be a great one!
