I like the idea of the .358 Norma, although I have never even seen one. I think I just like how it sounds, haha. A friend of mine has a .358 STA. Pretty sweet gun.Right now...either a .358 Norma Mag or a 338-06. Maybe the big sister for my 300 H&H
The only 2 I can think of is, a Savage Model 99 in 300 Savage, I think it's just a cool rifle. And the other is a Ruger American Ranch rifle in 450 Bushmaster, a friend has one, and it's short and lightweight, accurate and fun to shoot, however, it is extremely loud.
There's so many different calibers & cartridges anymore. I'd likely be happy with one or two of each, but for starters:
1.) 50 Caliber:
.500 Nitro Express
.500 3" Black Powder Express
50-110
2.) 45 Caliber:
450 Nitro Express
45-70
3.) 40 Caliber:
450-400 3" Nitro Express
405 Winchester
404 Jeffrey
40-65 Win
4.) 375 Caliber:
375 H&H
375 Ruger
5.) .358/9mm
9x57 Mauser
35 Remington
6.) 8mm/.32 Caliber
8mm Mauser JS
8mm Mauser Ackley Improved
8x60
32 Winchester Special
7.) 30 Caliber:
303 British
300 Savage
300 WSM
8.) 25 Caliber:
25-06
257 Roberts
25-35
9.) 6.5 caliber:
6.5x55 Ackley Improved
6.5 Mannlicher-Schoenauer

I think a .50-70 would be better and make it a trapdoor (lighter).Lets try to keep this going for a bit longer. I have 4 Shiloh Sharps currently, 1 40-65, 2 45-70's and 1 45-2.6 aka 45-100. I think a #3 30 inch octagon barrel chambered in 50-2 1/2 aka 50-90 would be a great hunting rifle.
Also a 257 Roy and a light weight 243 ai.
