I had an interesting pair that I sold just this week. A Winchester model 73 in 44-40 and a Colt SAA 5 1/2" in 44-40 with carved ivory grips. They were both documented by letters from the winchester museum and by Colt. Both made in 1907 and both sent to a man in Durango Mexico. I guess the real "rarity" of the pair is that they have stayed together this long. Both were still in good mechanicqal condition. I have owned over 500 Colt SAA and about 300 Old Winchester lever guns, plus 2 Evans carbines and 1 original Henry rifle in the last 25 years. Sure do wish I owned them all now!!! Especially the Henry. Saw one the other day no better than the one I had and it was priced $50k.Bob
