Congratulations! How much snow did you end up getting while you were back there? I imagine it might have made the trip out a little interesting.

The weather was snotty the entire trip. 50 mph winds the first day, with waves of rain and snow all day the day I killed the bull. Found a little pocket out of the wind at evening where the elk were coming out to feed and we could hear a bugle. I had to get the meat to town so I rode out a couple days later. The weather got seriously western. I had three friends in camp and the winds were even worse and 2 feet of snow dumped. They hunted through it but the window of opportunity closed.
