Be aware of recent heavy rain fall in the area.

So, you're saying sitting a water hole might not be a good strategy right now.
That's a lot of rain and obviously some roads in trouble. Have you had a chance to hunt ducks yet? I always enjoy the waterfowl pics you share.

Wow! Might be kind of hard to cross Cow Creek right now!

They are getting hammered with heavy wet snow right now so I would suspect travel down there is going to be iffy for the next couple of day. Given the forecast for rain until tomorrow I would check before trying it.

I sure hope this pattern changes this month the breaks have been wet last month or so. I am guessing it has made the bow hunt really tough. I have 17 days in November to fill this bull tag snow would be okay but all this rain could put a damper on the plan. Thanks for the update Nemont.

I came out of Crooked Creek onto Trail 79 and then west on Valentine rd. Monday morning... long story short, it was horrible. I had/wanted to finally pull out my trailer, as I was done hunting for the season. I was in a new f150 with a 20ft trailer and my friend was behind me in an older Toyota Tacoma. It took us about 2 hrs to get out to the pavement, typically that would be about a 40 minute drive. When we left most of the ditches on the side of the roads were brimming with water, so I assume by now there are plenty of spots that are flooding over the road. The rain came in hard on Sunday night and never stopped. Crooked Creek Rd. north of trail 79 was the best section of rd, but everything else was pretty rough.

Thanks nemont. I Think with the strong winds tomorrow and sun the end of the week it will be better by Saturday. I need to make it to the devils creek ramp to take the daughter on her ewe hunt

Thanks for the post. I was kind of thinking about running over for the last week of Archery. We haven't bow hunted up there in 20 years, but that much mud may have changed my mind.
