I was wondering if there was a way to clean brass without having to buy a tumbler or similar gadget? Is there a method for doing it by hand? I was thinking dish soap and a small brush, but would this work? Thanks for any and all help.

I have cleaned small numbers of brass using a bore brush to clean the inside of the neck and a rag dipped in Sweet 7.62 bore cleaner to clean the outside of the case. For large numbers of cases, it would be simpler to buy a tumbler. You can often find them quite reasonable at gunshows and such. Media is quite inexpensive also.

IOSSO case cleaner works well on even the dirtiest cases. Pretty cheap compared to a tumbler.
