Texas Boy Snatched up by Mt. Lion

A 6-year-old Texas boy is reportedly recovering after being snatched by a mountain lion from his mother's hand at Big Bend National Park.

Rivers Hobbs was dragged into a bush next to a walkway near a restaurant at Chisos Mountains Lodge by the animal at about 8 p.m. Sunday as the boy's family returned to their room, the Austin Statesman reports.

Poor kitty. Texans are for killing, yes, but only by the state.

You can shoot them on site- ANYTIME in Texas. Afraid the rules are different in a state park though

Rode the bike thru Big Bend Nat Park last spring. Big rugged place for sure. Thinking we stopped at the lodge in the article....greenest spot in the whole park.
