How’s your supply of Buffalo Trace there? Can’t seem to find it anywhere here.I live near Bardstown. Blantons is excellent bourbon if you can find it and afford it. I know a few guys near Frankfort and they will pick up a bottle at the distillery gift shop for $70.
Best bang for your buck under $30 in KY:
- Buffalo Trace
- Elijah Craig small batch
- Four Roses small batch
- Knob Creek 9 year
- Four Roses 80 proof (very light but good neat $25)
If you think you dont like cigars, try a good one with some good 90 proof bourbon neat
He was a hog. 2 beards, 1 3/8" spursThat turkey is amazing. What a rope!

Buffalo Trace has been hard to find for the past year or so.So many novelty bourbons now. Several are legit. Some are just in fancy bottles with fancy labels and fancy price tags! Regular old Buffalo Trace ($27) last night and another fella brought a bottle of Four Roses 80 proof.($16) I'm thinkin that Buffalo Trace is the biggest bang for your buck and actually better then several fancy bourbons that cost much more. Four Roses 80 is better than several bourbons twice the price, if your ok with a light, 80 proof bourbon
I don’t. Turkey is some of the best juice out there, especially the single barrel Russell’s Reserve and those that are NCF. You also can’t go wrong with Rare Breed for the higher proof fans like me.Wild Turkey Rare Bird tonight.
(*Don’t knock Turkey guys and gals, it’s got a great profile.)
Man, I can walk into a store today and pick it up for about $30. It all depends on where you are located these days from a distribution standpoint.Unfortunately, there is no "Regular old Buffalo Trace" around here. When a liquor store gets a case, it's like buzzards on a gut wagon and the price is $200-300. My neighbor is an over the road truck driver and the last bottle of Buffalo he brought home for me came from California. $30. I was happier than heck!!
Nice! That Director’s cut ain’t cheap. My maternal grandmother was a Pendleton, so I tend to buy a bottle in her honor whenever I catch it at a decent price. Their rye is good as well.I was gifted this from a coworker. Have yet to try it tho.
