Boss Tom Turkey Load

Anybody have any experience using Boss Tom turkey loads? Any feedback on performance? What type and size of choke did you use? I'm looking to take my younger sister out this spring for her first turkey and want to get her all set up.

Shot a jake last year out of my Stevens 301 in .410 with the stock turkey choke that comes in the gun and Boss Tom. About a 25 yard shot if I remember correctly. Dropped him right there.

No experience with Boss. 1.25oz T9s through a full choke will likely do all you want. Prove at paper before hunting. Practice with light bird load and only fire turkey shell at turkey.

I think there was a youtube chanel that got sued by them( don't quote though). I'd be worried about a newer company with tss and pressures, especially with the 2.5 oz type loads. I think apex is on stock online.

9s are the tss standard and maybe 9.5-10 for 410-20 ga. Tss and a factory full choke are all you need. My mossberg 410 with full choke is a solid 40 yard gun.
