Bosque SWA Unit 851

I'm stuck in "No Man's land" w my 14 CO elk pts. I chatted w a CO hunter last week while hunting in WY & he said that this unit might be in my point reach for muzzleloader. Ive been doing some research on it. Open to any thoughts on this tag. PM's welcomed.

It is still out of range for you. for a resident it takes minimum of 18 points.

It's mostly a bull winter range area, but I ran across older rubs when Cow elk hunting in there. It's a great SWA to hunt mainly during the later season. Give Bob Holder a call, he is the CPW Ranger for the Bosque and will he give you the straight answer on the early hunts.
