Nice job! I have a piece of yew wood that has been sitting in my basement for more than 20 years with the outline of a bow penciled on it. I need to start whittling away on it one of these days.

Thank you kindly! I haven't tried yew yet. This bow was my 7th or 8th successful one and my favorite so far. I'd love to get my hands on some yew one of these days. Swiftwood Bows on the tube has a great tutorial on building a yew bow, among many others. He's one of the guys that inspired me to finally dive in after thinking about making selfbows for years.

This is my bow, "Green Meanie". The TenPoint Nitro 505 is the baddest bow on the planet! I hunted with vertical bows (recurve and compound) for 30 years before moving to crossbows back in 2009, when they became legal to use for 50 and over year olds in Michigan. Still have my 1989 Martin Cougar Speed Flite compound that I hunted with for 20 years before buying my first crossbow in 2009.
