It really pisses me off when some bozo applies for and draws a permit for an area they know nothing about. Then the dum bass goes online looking for information on how to fill a tag!!
Well guess what, the shoe's on the other foot.
I got tired of never getting to draw in MY area so I applied in another (61 muzz for deer and elk).
I have spoken to a couple of resident friends and got some useful info. Local F&G biologist I spoke to seemed to be from another planet-nothing useful. I've found nothing online about the late hunt in the area aside from simple stats.
I did take a 3 day trip in the area in early july and took some video of a big bull. Probably 325+ ( yes, I can extract a couple of frames if ninnies need proof). He will likely be miles away by November.
So my questions are...
Any Ideas on historical rutting areas for mulies?
Do the Elk stage somewhere prior to coming down onto the flats?
Are there perhaps farmers or ranchers in the area who have had problems in the past who might be receptive to inquiries?
I know I'm a hypocrit, but you guys know stuff!!
