FWP TO CLOSE BISON HUNT IN GARDINER AREA BEGINNING FEBRUARY 10
By order of the Montana Fish, Wildlife and Parks will close the bison hunt in the northern boundary area (Eagle Creek/Bear Creek) beginning at 12 p.m. February 10, 2006.
The closure is necessary to allow for hazing to ensure no contact between bison and domestic livestock that are in the immediate vicinity. This action is required under the Interagency Bison Management Plan.
The first Montana bison hunt in fifteen years began on November 15, 2005. Hunters have taken forty bison thus far in the hunt. The hunt ends February 15, 2006.
