What kind of tree?

It is some kind of oak.

Not really a tree but here is some of the biggest Sage Brush that I have ever seen.

While elk hunting in NW CO, my wife and I found some huge blue sage brush, probably five-six feet high with lots of green grass growing at their base. We were able to lie down on a couble branches for a very comfortable nap in the sun. They were beautiful, old and gnarly.

Eucalyptus in Te Anau, NZ.
What I thought was some sort of huge NZ evergreen, but I think it's actually a giant sequoia.

Not big, but apparently kind of famous.
