I wasn't expecting this guy. We have a trapper working our place trying to thin down the coyotes. He brought in this 32 lb bobcat yesterday. Beautful colored cat.

That is a high dollar cat. Great spots, great color, and very full in the chest and neck. Your trapper had to be excited to find that one in his set.

He was. It's the biggest and nicest one he's ever caught. Caught it in a snare. Last year he said they ranged from $350 on the low end to $750 on the high. He also does taxidermy and is thinking about a full size mount.

That is one fine cat! A 32 lb cat down here, would eclipse the state record. I killed one about seven years ago that was 26 lbs and 12 ozs, and at that time was only about 6 ozs. shy of the SC state record(according to the taxidermist). He had to get a Lynx form to mount mine, since his supplier couldn't provide a bobcat form large enough.

He found a chewed up chukar in the stomach, feet and all. It's a great catch for him but personally I wish it was still out there prowling the rimrocks. The coyotes are proving hard to trap. He's caught 2 so far. They killed a deer last week and I thought he would have some luck there but didn't happen. He's had some step right on his legholds but they were froze up. I sure hope he can take some more of them out.
