Has anyone ever found one?
The purpose to this thread is to document samples inspected for bezoar stones. I am on the hunt! Thus far I have inspected 1 yearling buck mule deer and 1, 2.5 yr old bull elk. I checked both stomach contents and intestines. Both samples were checked in Idaho.
To my limited knowledge I would imagine animals with more age are going to have a higher likelihood of carrying one. I am going to start putting in for antlerless hunts to start looking for progressed subjects. I will specifically be looking for older candidates.
If I get so lucky as to find one I plan on sewing a leather pouch and admiring it unconditionally.
I already know my wife is going to be upset with my new obsession.
I am planning on pursuing deer on the East coast just to increase my odds.
If there are any North Carolinans reading this I would love a pm regarding muzzleloader info.
I am super curious how many deer I am going to have to inspect.
Any data on this subject matter would be greatly appreciated…
