Best towns to live/retire in Montana?

I always thought if I had that choice to make I would look into Whitehall or Twin Bridges. Pretty close to Butte and Bozeman for medical and shopping. Good access to the interstate and outdoor recreation. Small friendly towns.

Lewistown. It's pretty much located in the middle of Montana. Hunting (Big Game and Bird), fishing, camping, mountains, prairie all around. Billings is about two hours to the south and Great Falls is about two hours to the west. Small city with a small town feel to it.
Too windy

Some pretty good answers. Some funny and some true. Can't believe no one has said Frenchtown (unless I missed it).

Lewistown.
Nailed it. Awesome community with multiple mountain ranges within your required distance. Just left there do to being moved for work but it’s been my favorite place in MT so far. Born and raised here and lived in 8 different towns. Central location gives you easy access to the prairie in the east side and mountains in central/west. Good luck!
