Best rifle options youth hunters

Just wondering, how much weight does that hang out on the end of the barrel?

Not experienced with a “normal” centerfire rifle. But, in a short 16-18” rifle it makes feel better seems to hang on target better.

1) Find a rifle that fits
2) pick a caliber that has reduced recoil load options

That way the same gun can be used as they get able to handle full power loads.

My gf has a A-bolt Micro in 7mm-08 I bought her she loves, and I'll snag it to use once in a while when she's not looking. Great little guns and perfect for in the deep brush even if you're bigger framed.

308 is a great gun. Why not get a different stock. Maybe something adjustable. Boyd has some great adjustable stocks.

AB3 I think. Whatever the cheaper one was haha I wasn't gonna drop a huge amount cause I didn't know if the gf would be into hunting enough to justify it. Thankfully, she is.

There are lots of low-recoiling cartridges out there. +1 for the 7mm-08 because even when they're grown it's still a phenomenal cartridge.

That said, the overall design of the weapon is a lot more important than the chambering. Have them hold a few guns at a store if you can, or make sure what you buy has good adjustability.

My first rifle was a 30-06, 10 years old, I killed a lot of critters with it but I don’t recommend going that route.
