best rifle for women????

I'm 5'6" I started with a .308, then bought a .270 Weatherby packed it for years got a few deer with it but never an elk. Went to a Tika .243 and got one elk. knew it was to lite for elk so went to 6.5 creed more. I have a bad shoulder and can't handle recoil any more. Got an cow last season with it and no problems.
Let her pick what she likes and thinks she can handle.

Bought my better half a Tikka T3X Lite in 7mm-08 and she loves it.

I took my niece rifle shopping and that is what she chose. I tried to get her to pick something more expensive, given her father had given her a blank check. But I couldnt get her to spend more of my brothers money.

So I gave her an extra leupold and she is happy.

I have been looking at alot of different rifles for my wife.
She isn't a very big gal 5'3".
she shoots a 243, but we want a bigger cal for her to hunt elk with.
what do some of you ladies shoot??
She would like to keep recoil to a min, and still have enough to feel comfortable wacking an elk.

My woman shoots a Remington 700 in .270 Win. No complaints.

A friend of mine has a petite little wife who has killed a couple of elk with a 30-06. Doesn't seem to bother her.
