Ollin Magnetic Digiscoping System

Best (and Worst) Muzzleloading Bullet Experiences

For a full bore conical (my Colorado set up) Parker Productions Hydra-con.

Full thumbs down on powerbelts.

For a sabot I use the Hornady SST. It’s a lighter bullet and it does drift bad in the wind. I have killed two deer right at 200yds with it.

Have had great results using No-Excuse 460 gr bullets pushed by 85 gr. BH209 in my .45 cal. Muzzleloaders. All animals only went a few feet. Even the elk have been complete pass throughs at 200 yards plus.

.458 325 Hornady FTX in MMP orange or Harvester black crush rib. Perfect performance on game for me so far, and cheaper than buying the specially packaged/marketed muzzleloader bullets and sabots.

ETA this is the latest from this season. That is the exit wound on a quartering away shot. Great bloodtrail despite the high hit
