Went and picked up another goat to add to my goat packing string..... and...... the lady gave me 2 for the price of 1 👍🏻 The tan bigger one is named Montana!
She also had a beautiful Tri-colored Doe that she sold me after I talked her into it yes!!!

Also I got to get rid of my boot for my heel/Achilles! Traded for an ankle brace!

Very cool Matt!

Grats on the boot trade for brace! Oh ya... Grats on adding to y'er goat population. You always host some fantastic hunt treks with those packers!

Better make sure she didn't sell you the kind that fall over scared stiff when you startle them.

That would be too damn funny, but not so much when your a couple miles in and that bear shows up.

Forgive my ignorance, but what does a goat cost and how much does it eat on a backpack type hunt?

I get mine off Craigslist.... I don’t suggest that unless you know a little bit about animal body structure. I have 2 Doe’s now and will be breeding my own pack goats than sell them. The Craigslist goats will be anywhere from $50-$150 for casterated bucks, a Doe will cost you $200-$1000 sometimes more depending on genetics and if there registered. Also they browse as there following me around hunting or hanging out around camp. I have never carried water or food for them.
