We were looking for mule deer in a nice looking bowl one afternoon that always holds a few nice bucks. We hiked up the face and came across a nice 165-170 class buck that needed one more year.
In the next draw we spotted a bedded buck a few hundred yards away. Even though we snuck in to the edge to look over he still had us pegged the very second we peaked over. Never ceases to amaze me how smart those high country bucks are. Here's a couple pics, too bad he was a little guy, if he stays up in that country he will grow up to be a big boy though.
