Okay no licenses for the area near Buffalo, WY during archery season it seems. There are licenses for area 51 & 52 near eastern border of Yellowstone however.

Realistically, what the chances of a grizzly encounter during the WY archery elk season in these areas ? Thanks.

A good portion of those areas are in the Wilderness...which means you need a guide by law...just in case you didnt know.

You can hunt out of the wilderness though.

The chances of seeing a griz are slim, having an encounter...even more slim.

I didn't think they had any grizz in the Bighorns, which is the mountain range just west of Buffalo.
