Bear Size

I run a game camera behind my cabin in Western Wyo. I got these two pics over the weekend. There is no doubt in my mind this is a griz. Right front paw seals the deal for me. More curious what others think of the size. It looks damn big to me. Like well into adulthood. Curious what others think.

My only question is. How did you get a bear to walk that close to your trail camera and not try to eat it?

How cool is that, 100% griz, belly to leg ratio doesn't look that low, but definitely an adult bear.

Hit it with bear spray. Works just like bug spray.

Nice, like you said if you had any doubt, right paw seals it as grizzly. Nice bear not a monster. I'm surprised he didn't play rugby will your camera.

Not certain, maybe 3 - 3.5'

I agree with folks above. There's no doubt that's a grizzly. Not a sub-adult but still plenty of growing to do. Head is not broad. Ears still relatively large. Watch your topknot.

You think that's a debate given the overall shape of the bear? I mean I get what you are saying but that bear screams grizz to me (but the claws do help seal the deal)

Quick first take: rounded ears, face dish, hump is blurred but visible, the CLAWS! Yep it is a grizzly bear.

Cell phone pic of a laptop screen when viewed on a cell phone is a little harder to tell but I agree, when I first saw it pop up I thought grizzly.
