Leupold BX-4 Rangefinding Binoculars

Be prepare before hire a Guide/Outfitter!

And I'm also 77 and in better damn shape than you. and could probably walk and hunt your ass off. some ppl simply think they know it all seems your one of them. Big guy
I have to laugh at guys like you.
Well that’s good. I’m glad you have a positive self image. At this point I’m really feeling sorry for the folks who have to deal with you.

I think you need to follow your own advice and do a better job vetting your service providers. In your own little temper tantrum rant to made it pretty clear you didn’t fully investigate who you hired. Most people would calmly say “Here’s a mistake I made, and here is what I could have done better and I hope I save someone else the embarrassment and lost time and money. “

Instead you blame everyone but yourself and lash out at people who point that out.

Enjoy stewing in your own juices of anger and resentment. I’ll just sit here and watch you melt down.

your absolutly right on the Blood thinners as my DR said the same thing. That one is on me as I was not going to ruin the kids Once in a lifetime Hunt.
So, I elected to get back on that Fin horse and stick it out as long as I could 14 miles in. The damn horse fell at 12 miles in approx.
so, it was my decision>to stay.
I made it 7 fin days then told the kid I have to get out of here I have had enough.
Yes, it was my decision to stay.
Non, of this would have happened twice on 1 trip if the fin horses were ridden more than around an arena or on short trail rides.
One of the best outfitters in NM should know better if they were that damn good at their job.
any other questions.
Fin horses? Never heard of that breed before. Are they draft horses?

Edit: Well I'll be darned, they're supposed to be "great at everything". Wonder if something got mixed up in translation?

I had bad horses like that once. Had those same problems too. Since then I’ve gone to old time morgans and put the mountain miles on them all summer. Those problems have vanished completely.
Do you know where the Morgan breed originated ? Hint : I’m watching one inhaling hay right now in our paddock.

I think they thought those horses would of never made it back another 12 miles to the truck and when I said I was not going to ruin the kids hunt they were relieved and that was that.
No question on my mind those Horses were not ready for a long trip like that period. she had plenty of time to get them ready as all the negotiations was made in January after we found out the kid got drawn.
No excuse that the horses were not ready.

That's odd, draw results were released on April 17, 2024. Still had the summer to get them in shape, but I don't think your kid got drawn in January.

The kid and I both were right at 240 not an ounce of fat in good shape never asked about weight until the fall then said we were both 2 heavies for her horses.

Yeah I'm on her side, you're still pushing the limit. The first dudes I ever guided were a father and son, 6'5, 295 and 6'3, 240, they were on in-shape horses and those critters were absolutely gassed after carrying those boys around for days. In fact the big guy, only was able to hunt 3 out of 5 days and his horse, which was a huge draft cross, decided to lay down at the last river crossing too. What a sh*t show learning experience that was for me...
