Getting the hang of the caster. Was hitting the little apple tree & cage the wife planted from about 35 yards tonight. Driving to MT early next week & plan on tossing some top water baits in the UP along the way.

How many baitcasting nests before floating the spin rod?

One thing I REALLY value about spin casting, the sound of a bruiser ripping line! Baitcasters suck in the theatrical THX realm.

It’s a theft deterrent…


They’ll take everything else…

I started with the spinning. Had a Tokyo rig with a crayfish on the caster when I got on the boat & promptly made a big enough mess I didn't want to deal with it. So I set it down & went with the spinner.

When I don’t have my fly rod, I’m fishing an Ugly Stick and a Zebco Bullet and I don’t care who knows it.

Biggest cutthroat I ever caught was on a hot pink zebco 202 combo, slinging a powerbait worm.

It was awesome.
