For some reason, I like first names of states or major cities. My wife hates these type of names. Examples:

Montana - call him Monty
Colorado - Cody
Indiana - Indy
Florida - Flo
Lafayette - Lafe
Helena - Helen

We named our son Avery. My wife’s family is from Avery, ID, and I always thought it sounded tough. Turns out the number one GIRL name in 2014 was Avery.. who woulda thought…

I hope if for any reason you choose Avery, it’d better be a boy.

My daughters name is Avery. She was born right around the time the Steven Avery news was still a really big deal around here, we almost bailed on it because of that.
