What? Netflix has one of his Outdoor Secrets seasons up.

Ya, its not the greatest but it is better then some of the shows out there.

If you ever meet him he automatically assumes you want his autograph. No BS. Not my kind of person. Not easy for a Minnesotan to critique one of our own.....but if the Kennetrek fits.....:)

My dad won a Salmon tournament on Lake Superior in the 70's and Babe interviewed him on the Duluth TV station. My uncle still has a reel-to-reel recording of it somewhere. I've always had a soft spot for him since then (largely since Dad won a boat that became our fishing boat for many years). It's no FT, but he's a pretty relatable dude.

I imagine its been tough on the older TV generation to find their way today. Babe, Roger Raglin, Roland Martin. Some do it with ease and dignity like Roger Raglin. Some don't fair so well. But I have to say I would rather suffer through any episode of Babe Winkleman than watch one episode of Lee and Tiffany. I have certain shows I try not to miss. Obviously Randy's as well as Meateater. I enjoy some of Shockey's stuff simply because he hunts some game and places I've never heard of. But most shows that come on the 4 outdoor channels I have aren't worth watching unless you like staged hunts on high fenced ranches with yuppie "outdoorsman" who require the luxuries of a 4 star resort while they "hunt". Just my opinion.

I could care less about any of the high fenced, outfitted hunts. I enjoy shows I can relate too, DIY hunts and those who put value on the experience rather than a filled tag, such as the Randy Newberg, Steve Rinella, Roger Raglin, Benny Spies types. Unfortunately Babe, and a few others already mentioned are not my style, seemingly good people, just not my style. But I do dig me some Bill Dance and that theme song.

The new generation of You Tube platform shows is coming. Can't beat Hushin as they are number one on You Tube hunting channels. Randy just did a nice iPod interview with them. If you're tired of the TV stuff check Hushin semi live hunts out - they're really great.

I watched an elk hunting episode last night after work...he just sat around waiting for the outfitter to find him animals then he shot it out of a ground blind (not saying I wouldn't or that it was wrong just very boring)

I'd prefer to see Randy or Jim Shockey on there. Uncharted is a pretty good show

I thought Uncharted was going to be a good show but they make it seem like every hunt is a life or death situation for them.
