Stan....I got on line to the MT game and fish site, man talk about conffusing. Anyways from what I could find is this...the hunt starts April 15 and goes through May 15 or 30, I guess it depends on where you hunt. The problem is these were the 03 regs. But one thing I read was that you have to apply by April 14, now I dont know if that means you had to already apply last april or if it means you have to buy your tag by the 14. I'm thinkin you have to by it buy the 14, they do the same thing in aug.....the tag costs 350 and I forgot to check on the license. I'll just give them a call this week....Also i'll have to send you a bear identification test. I think you take it on-line but you have to do it before you can get a bear tag....they dont want fags like you shootin a griz! I'll let you know more details later or maybe some guys know more about it on this site.

The test isn't THAT tough..........hell even an East cost hunter like me just took the test and scored 100% first try!

It's funny because I looked at the study guide after I took the test and I think 1/2 or more of the Pictures on the test is the same as in the study guide.. Crazy

I did take a Montana Test either last year or the Year before and missed one. Thye were tricky

ANd, In real life one year I hunted with Greenhorn and Wylee and Sawthis Bear We weren't sure of. I sould find that story, It's kind of a Funny one

At any rate, Wylee Shot the bear and it was a Dandy Black bear !!!!

Stan....I tried callin but it should be $357, total unless they raise prices this year. Apparently you cant even buy your licese until sometime in March. The 04 regs. dont come out till then. You can pick up a turkey tag for another 115. You oughta come up!
