Arizona called and offered me a unit 8 early archery elk tag today. If I take it does it wipe my points back to 0? Still undecided as I drew Wyoming G and great antelope with a buddy burning 11pts and the exact same dates.

Yes, I think it does take your points to zero again. I think weather you accept it or not depends on you current bonus point situation. If you were close to or at max points, you could easily deny the tag and draw again next year. If you have less than max points, it may be in you best interest to take the tag if you aren't guaranteed to draw it again next year or in the next few years.

I'd say hunt the deer and antelope, which you can't return, roll the dice next year on the elk.

I would make the decision based on how many points you have. Would this have been a random draw, or are you likely to draw again next year?

I had 11pts. Close to drawing. My buddy couldn’t change his vacation and I wasn’t ready so I declined the tag
