I'm sure we've been over this before but I've never had it end up this close before. If my AZ license expires 6/3/2025 and the draw deadline is 6/3/2025 am I still good?

I think he’s talking about the deer and sheep deadline. I’ve had the same question, but for elk since mine expires 2.4.25. From what I know, I’m good to go

Reading is hard - I just bought my license, set the start date to 2/4, then tried to apply. LICENSE NEEDS TO BE VAILID TO APPLY. Guess I have to wait until the last day to put in my app...

Yeah, I think that's always been the rule but it was never enforced. I've bought futured dates licenses in the past and was able to apply before the license was active. We'll see if that crashes the system on the 4th this year.

Even if your license expired on Feburary 5, you would still get a point for the draw- it needs to be valid on the deadline date.

Next year’s date is LIKELY February 3rd (1st Tuesday of February) so same day license purchase this year will cover next year’s point application.

Per AZGF, if there’s a system shut down, be prepared to call in for assistance. Extra bodies will be there til midnight taking calls for assistance.

Same. They are unintentionally(i assume) forcing most people to apply on the last day.

This should go well.

Apply at o dark 30 and it won't be a problem. Also, the only ones needing to apply on the last day are the ones who bought the license that starts this draw period, Feb 4. Those guys can apply for 2025 Deer anytime the draw is open, same for 2026 Elk. Ones who already are spanning a license have most likely already applied as there was no reason to wait.

flawlessly, other than having to do two separate transactions to apply, having to enter in your ssn, username/password, super secret arizona code that i have entered so many GD times i have it memorized, re-enter your ssn, enter your DOB, prove your not a bot, and send a dna sample. yes, flawless...

I was going to write that, but you beat me to it!

My second favorite part is after you apply for Elk you get to see the screen "It looks like you might want to apply for a second species, do you want to completely log out and start over from the beginning or click this continue button and not have to do all that?" Only to click the button and get sent to a blank screen and have to start all over again.
